Les quatre éléments de la protection civile ont mis tous ces corps dans sacs mortuaires et les militaires des Fardc sont entrain de creuser les trous individuels pour les enterrer. Les forces Onusienne ont déployé de hélicoptères d'attaque en soutien en l'armée sur cet axe Mbau-kamango où les FARDC s'affrontent avec les rebelles Ougandais des ADF depuis 3 jours.
